"An unjust law is itself a
species of violence. Arrest
for its breach is more so."

Mahatma Gandhi

Divorce is a difficult time in a person's life.

Divorce laws are complex and can be hard to understand; therefore, you need an attorney who will listen to you and provide you with sound legal advice. Getting a divorce without speaking to an attorney about your rights and options is never a good idea.

Custody & Visitation

Losing time with your children is one of the worst aspects of divorce when kids are involved. You need an attorney who will listen to you and fight for your time and your relationship with your children. In all situations, we will work to maximize your time with your children.

Child Support/Spousal Maintenance

If you are awarded primary custody, you will need to be able to care for your children. Child Support payments are calculated using the Missouri Supreme Court's Form 14. Child Support payments are based on a parent's gross monthly income as well as other factors. We will fight for a fair amount of child support under the circumstances. Like child support, spousal maintenance involves the payment of money from one spouse to the other; unlike child support; receipt of spousal maintenance can have significant tax consequences. If you are entitled to spousal maintenance, we will fight for a fair amount of spousal maintenance.

Paternity

If you are a father of a child born outside of marriage, we will work hard to get custody and visitation rights with that child. If you are a mother of a child born outside of marriage, we defend you in order to establish the guidelines by which the father of that child will be a part of that child's life. Whether you are the father or the mother, we will fight for your rights as a parent to have a meaningful relationship with your child.
